There are more than 1000 cinemas in Moscow, however only a few of them broadcast films in their original languages.
STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS (Fantasy)
When the first trailer was released, there was much discussion about how it appeared to be getting back to the “grubbiness” (“dirty transporters, second-hand rockets, things that broke”) of Episode IV, rather than the CGI cleanliness of Episodes I-III. British TV star Phill Jupitus revealed in an interview that he “met an effects bloke in Essex, he drinks in my local coffee shop. He said [the makers of the new film] bought every gas-bottled air gun in England when they arrived because they wanted the Stormtroopers’ guns to have a kick when they fired them. You don’t have to fake it; it looks real.

Scotland, the 11th century. Three witches foretell that Lord Macbeth will become the new king. But neither respect, nor love, nor friendship is for him. His fate and curse is an excessive lust for power, for the sake of which he is ready to commit betrayal and murder. While Macbeth is with his men, his wicked wife Lady Macbeth, prepared to do anything for her husband’s sake, is plotting the murder of King Duncan on his visit to Inverness, Macbeth’s castle…
Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard star in this hypnotic, visionary screen adaptation of William Shakespeare’s tragedy. This dramatically filmed, bloody opera by Australian Justin Kurzel, reminds us why so many great filmmakers have taken on this classic play — from Orson Welles to Roman Polanski. The film took part in the Competition of the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

BRIDGE OF SPIES (Drama)
It’s 1957, and the world is gripped by Cold War paranoia. A simple Brooklyn insurance lawyer, James Donovan, unwillingly ends up in its epicentre, when the CIA first asks him to defend a Soviet spy in court, then sends him away to East Berlin with a nearly impossible task — negotiate for the exchange of the pilot of a downed American U2 spy plane.
Tom Hanks stars in this retro spy thriller on the lately resurgent theme of the Cold War, filmed by Steven Spielberg and written by the Coen brothers. One of 2016’s most likely Oscar contenders. The film is based on real events.
