BigTimeMoscow presents a grand tour of the most exciting events taking place on the 5th and 6th of September, Moscow’s 868th birthday.
The Triumphal Moscow Festival
Actors will reenact Moscow’s most significant historical events, including battles, ceremonies and other events, on Tverskaya Street.
Eight tall arches will be placed in the street in memory of the main national achievements. Special pop-up food stands will enhance the atmosphere with classic, and even ancient, Russian dishes.

The art cluster will welcome visitors with several exhibitions and mini-fests. The world-renowned exhibition ‘Michelangelo: Creation of the World’ will display the greatest works of the legendary painter in 3D. The ‘Art Food’ festival will cover the central hall, and will border the design fair ‘Art Weekend,’ which showcases items from up-and-coming Russian designers.
The Moscow Broadway Show
A musical time machine will emerge on Pushkinskaya Square on September 6, to the delight of all lovers of this genre. The journey back in time will feature performances from ‘Cats,’ ‘Mama Mia,’ ‘The phantom of the opera,’ ‘Zorro’ and ‘The Beauty and the Beast.’ The festival will start at 1pm.
